Welcome to Living Story Designs. We offer creative services for adoption profiles, birth/adoption announcements and scrapbooks. Our custom design services will help you create a one-of-a-kind adoption profile that reflects your personal style and tells the story of your family. We are also available to help you celebrate your family through unique announcements, invitations or gift scrapbooks.

Why We Are Here
Living Story Designs is the collaboration of two women that have a heart for families looking to adopt. We are based in Modesto, California and have the pleasure of knowing many parents that have grown their families through the help of Bethany Christian Service Adoption Agency. For each of these families one of the most daunting tasks in the adoption application process was the adoption profile. The adoption profile is a critical element in the adoption process and is your first impression to the birth mother. Especially for those with little or no scrapbooking or design experience it was overwhelming to try to tell their story through pictures, as well as duplicating those pages up to 20 times! We prayerfully considered how we could help. Living Story Designs uses your text and family photos to create a digital profile. You receive a CD with the complete profile in .pdf and PhotoShop format so you can print as many copies as you need or even publish them into a scrapbook. With the Photoshop files you even have the ability to edit or add information for a future adoption application.

Our Services

Complete Adoption Profile
Your adoption profile starts with a free introductory consultation. We discuss your personal style and the type of profile you would like to create. From that initial interview you will receive a packet with several design possibilities to choose from and a template to complete with your text. We can scan your photos or you can send them on CD or through a digital sharing site like Flickr. We will be happy to walk you through this process. After we receive your text and photos it will take 7-14 business days to create your one-of-a-kind profile. Your design will never be used for another family. You will get an opportunity to proof the design before the initial printing and submit any edits you have for us. Once you meet with your social worker we offer an additional edit in case there are any corrections or additions we have missed. Most profiles are 12 pages long and are in 8.5 x 11 format. You will receive one proof printout and one full copy of your completed profile on premium photo paper as well as a CD of your profile in .pdf and PhotoShop format to bring to the printer of your choice; we can offer assistance helping you select one. This is your story and your introduction to the birth mother; it's our hope that we can help you tell it. We want your profile to reflect who you are as a family.

Photography Services and Portraits
As you start on this journey to adopt, many parents realize that their collection of family photos does not convey their story well to the birth mother. I know many of my photos have myself, my spouse or my children in them but few have us all together. Even fewer really show us as we are together, having fun and truly enjoying life and each other's company. For those of you with piles of standard photos and none that really show you at your best light, we offer this service. Our photographer will consult with you about what type of images you would like to have. She will meet with you on location for a 1.5 hr - 2 hr session and you will receive a CD of ALL the photos taken that day. Our designer will also get a copy of these photos and along with your family photographs we will build your profile.

DESIGN SERVICES
Complete Profile Package Introductory Consultation.
Up to 13 pages, one digital proof print and one finalized print on premium 8.5x11 photo paper, entire design in digital format to print at the printer of your choice or you can choose to print with us - see pricing below.

Profile Photography and Portraiture Introductory Consultation. 1.5hr - 2hr session on location. CD of all the photographs taken.

PRINTING and SCANNING
Quality Printing Your choice of either professional quality heavyweight matte or glossy photo paper. We print with an Epson r1900 for stunning results with archival inks.
$3.00 per page

BindingProfiles can be bound in a presentation binder approved by Bethany Christian Services. Custom Spine is included in the pricing. Available in blue or white. If you select this option free delivery of the completed profiles is included at no additional charge.

Scanning
Many people have their photos in a digital format already. If not, we do offer scanning services. Original photos can be mailed to living story designs at 2539 Gallery Dr. Riverbank, CA 95367. Please add a post-it note on each with a titile and any caption you may wish to include. After scanning the originals will be returned to you in bend proof photo mailer.
